About the Organization
Soul Survivor Supportive Living Foundation is the first and only supportive living community for veteran women in Oklahoma.
We help veteran women who are facing uncertainty and need safe, affordable housing and a supportive community while they determine their next step to go from surviving to thriving. Our community welcomes veteran women who are living with a disability, experiencing homelessness, working on sobriety, navigating the justice system, or transitioning out of the military.
The foundation was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in late 2019 and welcomed its first survivor to the home on June 21, 2021. In the two years that followed, we provided housing and community support for veteran women in transition who ranged in age from 18 to 108 years old.
Our supportive living home is centrally located in Midwest City, "where the spirit flies high", with easy access to Tinker Airforce Base and the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. We are certified by the National Alliance of Recovery Residences and aim to open additional homes in Lawton, northwest & northeast Oklahoma City, and Tulsa in the future. In 2022, the organization received the Favorite Non-profit Award as part of the 2022 OKC People's Choice Awards.
